Freelance For Life - April 2008

Pushing Through Lazy Days!

April 9th 2008 22:06

Hello everyone

There are days when all you want to do is do as little as possible. You know that there are those emails to answer, the projects to work on, follow ups to do and more. Yet, somehow, no matter what you do, nothing gets done on those issues.

Sometimes motivation is a problem and other times you need a lazy day or two!

It is so easy to burn out if you run 110% constantly. Yes, eating right, exercising and rest are important. So is taking time off from work or life.

Yesterday, I knew work was waiting for me, the children were at daycare, the weather was pouring rain and cold. Perfect time to sit and catch up on the projects beckoning to me.

Guilt was nagging at me that I should have been working instead of enjoying my online gaming. II managed to push that annoying pushy voice to one side after arguing with it that I needed my time.

Arguing gave up and I compromised. Instead of doing computer work, I caught up phone meetings and discussions. This way I got to delegate how I would spend my time and feel ok with it.

We all have the same amount of time in the day 24 hours, I suggest use it wisely.

Thank you for stopping by

Have a wonderful week and keep on freelancing!
